Message from Medical Billing Wholesalers CEO Vinod Sankaran on COVID 19

Transcript:

The current events that surround us have a definite impact on each and every one of us, and it is impossible not to be moved by this crisis. And I was moved by it too.

My first reaction to this pandemic was to go numb. I was worried about my family, my friends, and my MBW team. I was concerned about the business, and what it meant to the livelihoods of the 300 employees at MBW.

Over the years, we have tried our best to do the right thing in terms of our employees, our clients, our vendors and everyone we deal with. We were particularly excited about the year 2020, as we were looking forward to growing our business.  We have created an excellent team, provided robust training to each of our employees, and focused on delivering exceptional service to our clients. And we were ready to take MBW to the next level. All good so far. Till the COVID-19 pandemic hit us.

But this unprecedented crisis also taught us the biggest life lesson. We witnessed how this crisis brought out the best in each one of us. Everyone genuinely wanted MBW not just to survive, but to thrive and coast through these uncertain times. Overnight, we came up with multiple contingency plans. We knew our clients were dealing with their own difficulties. We had to strike the right balance between ensuring the safety of our employees, data security of all client data due to HIPAA reasons and being there for our clients at this crucial time of need. With India under lockdown from March 24th – and the team never having worked from home – we were up and running at 50% on day 1, 60% on day 2 and over 85% by day 4. Before the crisis hit us, our team was ready to take us to the next level.

This crisis has brought us even closer.

I truly believe that the resilience that the team showed will help us in the future too. We will remember what happened to us, and we will not forget how we overcame all the obstacles.  MBW is open and working hard to meet all our deliverables and timelines even during this pandemic. Let’s work together and get through this pandemic.

Stay safe and good luck to us all. Thank you
